Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl, and she received all As in her A-level exams. When Coleman was asked about her role in Emmerdale, she said that she regrets not to have had a traditional university experience. Coleman, while still at high school, was part of the theatre company In Yer Space. They presented the show Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. Her performance was well-received with a prestigious award, and the production received favorable reviews. Coleman, who was looking to audition for drama college in 2005, got Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. Coleman received two nominations for prizes in the year 2007. She won as the Best Newcomer of 2007 at British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009, she was awarded nominations in two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman is nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on the 21st of March that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion following the departure of Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and others left the show. Moffat picked her to play the role because she is the most effective when working with Smith and spoke more quickly than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she has participated in TV and film projects. But, she's more known for TV projects instead of films. Eva has played a variety of characters on TV, however two stand out in particular: Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas which was in CSI Miami. She was nominated for 2 "Daytime Emmys" in the first role in both shows, as well as getting an opportunity to explore the musical side of her. Eva is also an entrepreneur, philanthropist and the philanthropist. She has been married three times who has a daughter from her second husband.
