Ariel Winter, born Ariel Winter Workman (Janurary 28 1998) in Los Angeles California is an American actor, singer and voice-actor. Ariel started her acting career young appearing in a Cool Whip commercial at age 6. Her first TV performance at the age of seven on an episode of CBS sitcom Listen Up!. In the following years she was a part of such shows as Monk Bones or ER. Gretchen was the main character that she played in 2007 in Disney's Original Channel's cartoon series Phineas and Ferb. Two years later she had her first live-action performance as Alex Dunphy on the hit television show Modern Family. Her cast won four Screen Actors Guild Awards for the Outstanding Ensemble Performance in the category of Comedy Series. Ariel is still doing voice-over work on films such as ParaNorman Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, as well as Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright. Ariel holds a purple-colored belt in Taekwondo.
