Born in Rochester, New York, Sharp was a music enthusiast and studied clarinet, piano, and cello at the highly regarded Hochstein School of Music. Sharp's love for theater in high school led her to the Boston Conservatory where she was given the scholarship. The Cum Laude's B.F.A. was awarded to Sharp after she graduated. Sharp's primary focus was on the stage. Sharp was a part of her first Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Other theatre productions include: Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin' Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp was a co-reader with playwright August Wilson himself. Sharp has been working in both on the screen and the stage, is currently engaged in several new projects of her own. Sharp continues to sing and she has an album of her own that is in development. Sharp is a fitness enthusiast and stays in great shape by studying Krav Maga and boxing. Sharp is a resident of Los Angeles, California with her family.
